Feedback sought on new blog look

If you like this theme better than the previous theme, will you let me know via a comment? You can comment here on the blog, comment on Facebook, reply on Twitter, or let me know in person — lately I’ve run into a couple of readers who haven’t commented in writing but who let me know they check out my blog. It’s very nice to know it’s worth reading to someone.

On a whim, I decided to look at WordPress’s blog themes. The previous theme just seemed very cliche for meditation. This one feels much fresher to me — but is it too dark?

  1. I don’t think it’s the darkness that’s bad at all. The text, on the other hand, is very small. It’s a bit hard to read. The colors in and of themselves, though, I think are rather peaceful. 🙂

  2. I agree about the tiny text. I usually add a text-sizer widget in my pages, and I’m pretty sure WP offers one. Other than that, I like the theme, but then I do prefer dark colours anyway, more peaceful.

  3. I love the new theme! I usually read your blog entries in my RSS reader, though, so I often don’t see blogs in their native habitat. I do think it would be nice to add a picture of you somewhere near the top of the blog — I think it really enhances blogs like this to have a face for people to relate to. Also, I remember the comments working differently before, and I like the new (?) way better.

  4. Thank you all so much for sharing your thoughts. I intend to learn how to customize this blog theme so the type will be a little larger and brighter. I haven’t found a text-sizer widget for WordPress. Please let me know if you find one.

I’m glad the comments are working better.

I noticed that my page About Me and This Blog seems to have disappeared.

I will work with the photos — it would be cool to create a photo montage to stick in the gnatty aquarium photos, or whatever they are!

I’m very pressed for time and hope to spend time working on these issues this coming weekend.

    Once again, thanks for commenting!
